Relax and enjoy the sounds of a live Big Band performing for your listening and dancing pleasure. Step back in time to the 1940's and hear the music of Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, and more. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. A variety of musical instruments that have been transformed into wonderful works of art by local and national artists (including Robert Peterson – known for his Russell Westbrook mural) will be on display as we open the bidding for our second edition of Instruments Transformed. After this event the instruments will move to the Leslie Powell Gallery where they can be viewed until October 5 at 6 pm, when the live bidding will continue until 7 pm. This final event will be free and open to anyone – online bidding will be available during the 3 weeks between events. You won’t want to miss this! All proceeds go to support our 2017-18 Season “Stop and Smell the Music”. Season tickets are on sale now.
